Shoes!

The last few days have been spent going shoe crazy.

Custom order pink flowers lined with green stripes...

pretty pink floweries...

both with leather soles, of course.

Last night I sat down and cut out a bunch of soakers... what do I do with all of these beautiful little wool scraps? It would be too bad to waste such good pieces. I'll be adding items like this to my shop soon....

100% wool crib shoes/slippers. Perfect to match all of those beautiful soakers. :)

Soooo warm and cozy for the winter.

Some shoes will have leather soles. Others will be slippers with wool soles. Sizes and soles will be random :P

Done and Listed!

FINALLY!

This blanket has seemed to take me forever to make, but it's done now.

It is soooo soft and cozy! And matches my flannel "fishie" blanket perfectly! Such cute little fish and "swirls"

My "model" doll is a bit big. She looks like a newborn, but "swaddles" like a much older baby. I really need an infant around here ;).

Looks like the sun might be showing itself here today! Maybe I'll be able to get a real picture of this. Natural light is sooo much better than dark dingy lamp light, but sooo hard to find here in the Seattle Fall.

I'm excited about this set! So much fishy fun for your precious newborn!

psst... I'm offering FREE shipping for the SET (in the US)!!!!

Oh, I almost forgot... We had our ultra sound on Tuesday. #7 is a GIRL! Girls now pull into the lead four to three!

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL?!
AND... they've guaranteed a WORKING DRYER today! Remember how I said the sun doesn't shine here - well, WET CLOTHES DON'T DRY EITHER. I'm planning on wearing out the new parts on the dryer trying to make a dent in that pile of laundry before the day is done :P

Experiments with dye...

Yesterday I had a bit of fun with an old stained soaker and some Kool Aid. I figured I couldn't "ruin" the ugly light pink soaker, so I bought some grape Kool Aid. I ended up with a slightly tie-dyed, not quite so ugly, still could probably use another dose of dye soaker, and VERY PURPLE fingers. :) Not to worry - several "rounds" of dishes, and my fingers are looking much betta ;)

Here's a picture of your favorite working crew handpainted by Me...

and, of course, your favorite horse, Silver, and his rider also painted by Me.

I made some progress in the knitting department over the weekend... Two baby washcloths down, the fall colors blanket is well on it's way, and this beautiful lilac soft and cuddly snuggler blanket is almost complete...

Don't you think it looks lovely with the fishie blankie???

Treasury!

I'm sitting here wondering what in the WORLD can I blog about???

I could tell you that I caught my two year old trying to flush a cloth daiper last night. I suppose he was just trying to help. I'll spare you the pictures. (N0! I didn't really take any.) The toilet DOES still work, so I'm assuming I caught everything before the flush. :)

Or I could tell you about how my one year old likes to eat crayons and color on walls... No, I'm not going to share any pictures of my walls at the moment, either. (Yes! I have taken pictures of wall "art" on many occasions.)

But these "fun" things don't have much to do with my etsy (other than I sell things for babies and toddlers - including fresh, new, never-been-flushed-down-the-toilet DIAPER COVERS)

This diaper cover was recently featured in a treasury. I felt very surprised and honored. :) Thank you UnusualFelineObjects http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5948475 for such a beautiful Fall Leaf Tresury.... unfortunately, my blogging is too late to see the treasury - it has expired :( .

But here's the link to my listing... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=15385245

Feel free to check out any of my other listings. :)

And while you're checking out my etsy, you might as well check out my mom's hats... http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5637194

Besides diaper covers, I also make blankets, and plan on making some washcloths and cloth wipes. I have an almost complete lavender carseat blanket out of this....

And here's the very beginning of a beautiful FALL carseat blanket...

I have a box full of fun wool yarn for some more carseat blankets (that I may be able to get to if I ever quit blogging), and some "sweet aqua" cotton yarn that I thought I'd make into some baby washcloths...
unless, of course, somebody has a better idea?? Not that I have any readers yet...
IF you happen to read this blog and IF you have a better idea, feel free to leave a comment... I'm always open to suggestions.
On top of the fun yarns that I have, I also have about a billion beautiful sweaters to cut up.
Time to go take care of the little ones emerging from the woodwork....
