*my kids ALL think that the "birthday" is the cake. it's not the day you were born. no. it's the CAKE. i dare anybody to try to convince them otherwise. they're a stubborn bunch.

oh, and we must not forget to wish Grandpa Harv and our cousin a happy birthday TOADY!

Batman and Peanutbutter Fudge

inspired by my seven year old who decided he was batman this morning.....


a true superhero mixes his peanut butter "fudge" with his mask and cape on.



homemadeheores can make the perfect cape for your little superhero. as i type this my kids are hanging around the computer in excitement over all of the nifty capes. three cheers for the larry boy cape!

as for now, we'll have to enjoy our peanut butter, honey, and powdered milk balls :)

the promised pictures of baby in her new hat from gramma harv! we had sunshine yesterday - YAY! a perfect setting for some nice pictures with natural light. do you know how hard it is to get a picture of an infant without the shadow of loving siblings? placing a baby in the sunlight is like putting a piece of candy in front of them.... only better! :) anyway, here's what we got:


*she* wasn't too happy about the sun shining in her eyes! but that's what you get when you live in seattle... sunlight is a foreign thing!

New Hats!

now that she's 3 months old, she's growing out of her precious little hat... so we ordered another.
there was much excitement in the house when the package arrived with THREE new hats. one for our baby, one for our friend's little boy who is just a few days younger, and one for....



the almost three year old in the house who thinks that everything is a hat! unfortunately, baby was sleeping, so she'll have to wait to try on her hat. but for the young lad... well, he ran around the house shouting, "i am the king! i am the king!"

A few new favorites

Last night while my kiddos were snuggled in their beds and my hubby was learning a new song on his guitar, I was *shopping*! Here's what I came up with....

Oh, and this morning I found some time to sew up a few more shorties. They'll be added to my shop later on today, but for now, I must tend to my hungry children.

yeah - i actually listed a few NEW things in my shop. and there ARE more to come. i have some more things cut out AND the sewing table is cleared off and ready to use at will...


we have these nifty girly longies. perfect for these cooler spring days and nights.


and some nice light weight neutral tan shorties! a great way to keep your child cool this summer! no more sweaty plasticy covers.
